GrantsNow is a leading Cloud innovation for managing Pre-Awards, Due Diligence, Ethics & Contract Management. Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Awards Business Analyst to join our team and also help manage those operations. We are a dynamic fast growing (Privately owned) organisation, with a flexible work ethic to “get the job done”.
This role is integral in managing client relationships, ensuring an excellent user journey, and providing analytical support to optimise pre-award processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in the research or higher education sector, with a strong background in Pre-Awards administration, data analysis, and an understanding of research funding processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with clients to conduct thorough analysis of current pre-award systems and processes.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with research administrators, faculty, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
- Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Provide training and support to end-users on system functionalities and updates.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather feedback and ensure alignment on system enhancements.
- Work with our development team to translate business requirements into specifications for system enhancements.
- Provide support and training to users of the pre-award systems, addressing any issues or queries promptly.
- Participate in project teams and working groups to support pre-award initiatives and system improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in system administration, preferably within a research or academic environment.
- Strong understanding of research funding processes and pre-award administration.
- Proficiency in using and managing research administration systems
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is desirable.
